Market Segmentation Index

Market Segmentation Index or Celli Index of Market Segmentation (named after the Italian Economist Celli GianLuca) is a measure of market segmentation. The degree of market segmentation will be measured by the degree of monopoly power of the selling country. Greater is the difference of the average unit value AUV of the same product sold in two different market segments, greater is the degree of monopoly power and therefore the degree of segmentation from the producing country in the segment with higher AUV.
