Hi there.

Having just bought a new contract and wanted to port my number over from an old contract, took me 45 mins on the telephone, would it be applicable to include instructions/method for each provider?

Many thanks

Neil

Orange charge you for 30 days from the moment when you request a pac code, so its worth requesting it 30 days before your contract is to end so you can move it on the day your contract ends, rather than having to pay for another 30 days. Also they dont tell you over the phone, taking about 5 working days via the post.

On the other hand, T Mobile give you the Pac code straight away, and terminate the contract upon transfer so that you will not be charged extra.
