Definition

The function ${\begin{aligned}&\scriptstyle L\colon (0,\infty )\to (0,\infty )\end{aligned}}$ is slowly varying (at infinity) iff

(\forall a>0):\lim _{x\to \infty }{\frac {L(ax)}{L(x)}}=1.
