An infobox template for describing rocket engines.

Yes, there are other templates around for rockets. However they're all either vehicles {{Infobox Rocket}} or stages {{Infobox Rocket stage}}. I haven't yet found one for engines.

Origins

  • name (required)
  • country of origin (optional)
  • date(optional)
  • designer (optional)
  • manufacturer (optional)
  • purpose (optional)
"booster", "apogee kick" etc.
  • predecessor (optional)
  • successor (optional)

Type

  • type (required)
    • solid
    • liquid
    • hybrid
    • mono / monopropellant
    • other - free-text
For type=solid
  • grain (optional)
Use for simple overall description, otherwise use the more-specific parameters below
  • oxidiser / fuel (optional)
  • core (optional)
  • casing (optional)
  • nozzle (optional)
For type=liquid
  • fuel (required)
  • oxidizer / oxidiser (required)
  • cycle (optional)
  • pumps (optional)
fre text, describe the fuel system
  • combustion_chamber (optional)


For type=hybrid

Categorizes into Category:Rocket engines and also potentially some combination of Category:Solid-fuel rocket motors, Category:British rocket engines etc.
