MotionBuilder is a 3D character animation software used for the production of games, films, and other multimedia projects. MotionBuilder is widely used in the industry, for example in mainstream products like Assassin's Creed.

Features include: animation tools, Inverse kinematics, and story timeline editing. MotionBuilder natively supports the platform-independent FBX file format, and includes SDK and Python Scripting Support.

Originally known as Firebox produced by the Montreal-based company Kaydara, MotionBuilder is now produced by Autodesk.
