Direct Injection may refer to:

  • a method of music production whereby studio instruments, especially bass guitars, can be plugged directly into a mixing console for a better, more present signal and sound. This is as opposed to micing up a bass amplifier. This techinque was developed by Paul McCartney in 1967 during the recording of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely hearts Club Band">
