I will extend this article under the more correct term Exploratory testing, and then redirect to that page. Epim 18:47, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The two introductory sentences on this Wiki page appear to attempt to define Exploratory Testing. The 2nd sentence reads: "While the software is being tested, the tester learns things that together with experience and creativity generates new good tests to run." This seems inappropriate for a few reasons:

1. "generates new good tests to run" fails to define or qualify "good". What does good mean here? 2. This speaks to one of many potential work products of Exploratory Testing (generating new tests). There are many other potential work products such as bug reports, risk assessment, questions on product requirements, etc. but these are not included. They should either all be included in the definition, or none of them should be included in the definition. 3. It is grammatically incorrect: "...the tester learns things that ... generates...". It should be "generate" (learns things that generate).
