I.E.T. Bhaddal is an Institute imparting education in various Engineering disciplines. It is located at the Shivalik foothills near to Ropar district, Punjab, India. Institute of Engineering & Technology, Bhaddal, Ropar, India is a recognized self-financed privately managed institute for technical education. The institute was established in July 1998, by Kandi Friends Educational Trust (Regd.), Mohali. Setting up of an educational Institute at Bhaddal, a small village in Ropar district, created a great opportunity for a district level town Ropar to project its heritage and culture. The district, hitherto known as an ancient city of Harappan culture, with relics of Alexander’s army, has the reputation as the town of thermal plant and canal head works. Bhaddal, a small village in the district, provides a great opportunity of an environment, free of noise and pollution. The trustees of IET realized the significance of technical education as a vital means of growth of the region and for the upliftment of the working class and rural youth and took a vow to establish an institute that should be a forerunner in engineering education. This small village is now emerging on the global map as a place of quality education and advanced learning. This institute has been established for excellence and quality in engineering & technology. The institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), Bhaddal welcomes applications from students interested in pursuing Under-graduate courses offered in engineering and technology. These undergraduate courses impart excellent technical teaching and training along with a strong but flexible curriculum of B.tech degree of Punjab Technical University. The courses are aimed at academic growth and learning through application based approach.

September 1997, Er. Gurcharan Singh, an educationist and an industrialist, founded Kandi Friends Education Trust (KFET) with a goal to provide education in Engineering and Technology with strong emphasis on research and to maintain a close interaction with industry..

IET Bhaddal funded college which became functional in 1998. College's first batch joined in a temporary location located in Mohali. By the team students and others were in the team, constant constructions continued at Bhaddal village in Ropar. After two years of hard work college shifted to its original site where it is now.
College started with four undergraduate courses Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Intrumentation Engineering & Mechanical Engineering; today offers even postgraduate courses.
