Sheriff Dawes

Sheriff Dawes is Jericho's chief law enforcer. He was murdered by an escaped convict while investigating the crash of what turned out to be a prison bus. He was the first person in Jericho to meet Robert Hawkins, shooing him away when Hawkins suggested covering up the words "JERICHO SHERIFF" on the sides of the patrol cars. The last person Dawes spoke with was Deputy Jimmy Taylor on the radio.
After his death, Deputy Jimmy Taylor succeeds his position.

Sheriff Dawes is portrayed by Leon Russom
