Application Lifecycle Framework or ALF is an Open Integration and Interoperability Framework for ALM Tools currently under incubation as one of Eclipse projects. ALF project aims to address the issue of costly and hard to maintain point to point integrations that is prevalent amongst ALM tools covering functional areas like Issue Management, Requirement Management, Release Management, Test Management, Project Management, Portfolio Management, etc covering disciplines in Project and Portfolio Management, Software Configuration Management and IT Process Management by providing a specification for a bus construct and common vocabularies that makes it possible for ALF enabled tools to plug in and participate in a common event workflow.
