The international, English speaking journal on Software and System Modeling (SoSyM), founded in 2002 by Robert France and Bernhard Rumpe, is published quarterly by Springer. It aims high-quality research and experience publications focusing on the development and application of software and system modeling languages and techniques.

The scope of this journal is describes as follows on the SoSyM website:

"... to publish high-quality works that further understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of modeling languages and techniques, present rigorous analyzes of modeling experiences, and present scalable modeling techniques and processes that facilitate rigorous and economical development of software."
