LIGO

While it's true that the timeline at NCSA says in 1992 "Black hole simulations support development of LIGO" (emphasis added by me), the official site makes it clear that LIGO was developed by CalTech and MIT, so I'm going to edit it to say "supporting". -Jacob 68.161.230.208 02:52, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Repetition

This article needs cleanup... a lot, there is repetition and everything. I removed a part because it was repetitive. -- rburp

Bad Link

The links to Thom Dunning seem to be bad. One link references a Wikipedia entry that doesn't exsist, the other is lacking a valid domain.

Another bad link?

When I tried to follow (click on) the link to "Larry Smarr's testimony before US House of Representatives", it took [forwarded?] me to a page at "http://science.house.gov/" with no explanation of what the problem [if any] was. Mike Schwartz 00:30, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ncsa logo sm.gif

Image:Ncsa logo sm.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Modified History Section

Changed and improved the opening "History" paragraph. Actually, it should be rewritten to focus on the research (which is the reason NCSA exists), with less focus on the software that was released, although that seems to be what captured public attention.
