A go/no go (sometimes a go/no go gauge) is a device used in quality control which typically has two holes.

A manufactured object passes the go/no go test if it goes through the large hole but does not go through the smaller hole.

Go/no go gauges are common in all types of manufacturing. They are used when making tennis balls.
