Convex Computer Corporation was founded in 1982 by Bob Paluck ad Steve Wallach. It was headquartered in Richardson, TX. Convex was acquired by Hewlett-Packard Company in December 1995.

Convex developed hardware and software for the high performance computing market. The hardware was originally a vector processing architecture similar to other supercomputers of that time. Eventually Convex developed large parallel computing architectures based on RISC processors.
