The microsoft embedded database is a database type used by Microsoft products. Files in edb format are as follows:

Microsoft Exchange Server : priv.edb and pub.edb files Active Directory : the NTDS.dit file DHCP : ??? WINS : ???

There are no tools available to allow for analysis of the contents of these files. For all intents and purposes, they might as well be encrypted.
