Local on the 8s is a feature of The Weather Channel, and occurs every 10 minutes. During the short presentation, various weather predictions for the local area are given.

The reason for the name is that the presenataition occurs at times that end in '8', i.e. at 8, 18, 28, 38, 48 and 58 minutes past the hour.
