Lookin' Through the Windows was a 1972 soul album released by the legendary Jackson 5. At this point, the group members including their about-to-be fourteen-year-old lead singer Michael Jackson was growing up and it no longer felt comfortable to sing some of the kiddy stuff that made them one of the quintessential teen idols. In fact, this was the beginning of Michael's vocal change from a boy soprano to a scratchy tenor. This also was the beginning of the bad vibes surrounding the family group and Motown as they found it difficult to deal with a young Michael Jackson who had an independent mind of how he wanted to sound. This was also the last album to include any songs written by The Corporation (Berry Gordy, Freddie Perren, Deke Richards and Fonce Mizell).
