Tech support is an acronym used for technical support, a gamut of customer care services for electronic or mechanical products. The most popular form of technical support nowadays is computer support. It covers troubleshooting/diagnosing a hardware or software issues by specialized expert technicians.

The business is fast picking up which is the further proved by the popularity of brands such as Dell, Geeksquad, Firedogs, iYogi etc. They have come into limelight as the remote computer repair specialists and can resolve most of the computer issues via phone or online.

Any of the actions such as file transfer, re-boot, remote viewing and others taken by technicians only occur after the prior permission of the end user. Computer tech support is believed to be of great help for things like malware removal, cleaning up the disk, and PC optimization.

Computer repair eliminates the need for calling expensive technicians to premises and taking the computer to any repair shop. This makes the process highly cost effective.
