Reavers are a group of humans from the Joss Whedon televison series Firefly. Originally colonists in the far reaches of the galaxy, Reavers are said to have gone mad from the isolation. They seem to have tapped into the primal portion of their brain and are much more similar to animals in their habits than humans. Preferring to stay in small groups, they tend to prey on the weak and defenseless. Their modus operandi is mentioned to be raping their victims to death, cannibalizing them, and using the remaining skin as clothing.
