Viewpoints is a theory of acting that provides a vocabulary for thinking about and improvising movements and gestures. Originally developed for dancers in the 1970s by choreographer Mary Olverlie, Viewpoints theory was adapted for actors by Anne Bogart at the Saratoga International Theatre Institute at St. Edward's University.

Advocates of Viewpoints believe it is more helpful to theatrical actors than Method acting.
