Why does it require z/OS R.8 for an ICF-only implementation to be viable? With CF Duplexing many installations I know run without external CFs. Martin Packer 20:22, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rebuilding CF structures

There were some improvements introduced in z/OS 1.8 for more efficient CF duplexing and rebuilding CF structures. That statement in the article makes sense to me.
