Imaging informatics

Imaging informatics is a new sub area of biomedical informatics. Although techniques of biomedical imaging and biomedical image analysis have been developed for many years, they have never been combined to form a discipline. Imaging informatics is focused on mining information or knowledge from the biomedical imaging technologies.
