Robot Commando
Robot commando is a large (approximately 50 cm high) robot toy manufactured by Ideal in 1961. A remote control unit was permanently connected by a thin tube to the robot. Any child could use it, as it did whatever it was set to do the operator breathed heavily into the controller. So... just yell: "GO FORWARD" into the "microphone" with a lot of breath, and if the robot was preset by the user to go forward... it DID. Little brothers amazed, pets terrified; mission accomplished. The robot could slowly raise it's head to uncover a missle and fire it at a toy over a height and or distance, or it could deliver a long-range ping pong ball as anti-pet deterence by an over-handed pitches from alternating arms. It disappointed in that it did not actually respond to voice commands as the advertisment protrayed, but overall was enjoyable from the fun of remote controlling a large, robot armed with mutliple projectile weapons.
