"Robositter"

Robositter is an episode of the animated series Aqua Teen Hunger Force [1] [2]. It was first broadcast on September 12 2004.

Cold Open

On Spacecataz, after getting hung up on on his second attempt to prank call the Mooninites, Oglethorpe tries a third time, to be hung up on again. Err then calls the Plutonians' ship, asking for Holden McGroyne and Oliver Klohsoff. After not catching on right away, Ignignokt and Err appear on the video screen. Oglethorpe throws a water balloon at it, causing it to explode.

Plot Synopsis

The Aqua Teens are short on money, so much so that there's no food in the house (not even Steak-Umms.) Frylock tries to pawn their TV, only to be intercepted by Master Shake. Shake then tells Meatwad, who rolls in wanting Steak-Umms, that he needs to get a job. After Frylock tells Shake that employing Meatwad is a violation of child labor laws as well as unsanitary, he and Shake get jobs at Slurp-A-Lunch, a stand at the mall food court that sells drinks made of meat run through a processor until liquified.

While Shake and Frylock work, they leave Meatwad with Carl, who allows Meatwad to invade the medicine cabinet and get high on pills while he sits in the living room masturbating. Frylock is horrified by this discovery, and decides to build a robotic sitter to watch Meatwad. Robositter, as the robot is named by Frylock, develops a mind of its own and makes life a living hell for Meatwad.

While ostensibly watching Meatwad, Robositter itself makes a robot friend and they both lustily seek any male attention possible, asking for money so they can get tattoos "just above the crack of our robot asses". At work, Frylock lures the robots into the meat-to-drink food processor by putting money inside, then activates the processor and destroys them. Meanwhile, Meatwad burns down Carl's house.

Cultural references

When Meatwad mentions a movie in which a man turns into a robot than a dog turns into a robot with Lance Henriksen he is probably referring to Man's Best Friend.

Near the beginning of the episode, Shake threatens Meatwad by telling him he is "about to learn the value of A Hard Day's Night".
