World Climate Programme

The World Climate Programme was established following the first World Climate Conference in 1979. The major sponsors are the WMO, UNEP, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO and ICSU [1].

The World Climate Research Programme is a component of the WCP.
