Fedora Linux is an rpm-based Linux distribution, created by community supported Fedora Project sponsored by Red Hat.

Fedora Core 1.0 "Yarrow" was published on March 2003. Main improvements over Red Hat Linux 9 include automateds updates for both Fedora and third party software (yum and apt), imporved laptop support (ACPI, cpufreq) and faster program start time (prelinking).
