Synchronization Channel

Synchronization Channel is a downlink only channel defined in GSM Um radio interface specification. It consists of regular sequency of bits and enables the mobile to synchronise on first registration to the right TDMA frame. There is an extended Training Sequence to help identify the cell to which the mobile is registering.
