Spring Axis Struts and Hibernate are four of the most popular open source Java projects[1],[2],[3], often known as and distributed under the acronym "SASH". These projects are used to build Web_applications.

Taken together, these projects are used in an increasing number of large applications at Global 2000 companies, as well as by individual developers and smaller websites and companies. [4]

Spring is a Java/J2EE application framework that assembles components via configuration files.
