Andy Hobsbawm
Appearance
Andy Hobsbawm established the first international Internet agency in 1994 and was a founding director of leading British new media company Online Magic which merged with Agency.com in 1997. He is currently European Chairman of Agency.com. He is the son of noted British historian Eric J. Hobsbawm.
Career Highlights
- Created the world's first commercial eZine, PowerPC News, with Internet Publishing(1993)
- Co-founded Online Magic, the first international online agency (1995)
- Broke new ground with interactive UK election coverage in 1997. Online Magic launched a groundbreaking original interactive content production 'GE97' covering the UK general elections online, which the Financial Times called: "a watershed for the Web in this country".
