William Nisbeth Sayles (born July 27, 1917, in Portland, Oregon; died November 20, 1996, in Lincoln City, Oregon) was an American major league baseball player. He was a pitcher with the Boston Red Sox, New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers in 1939 and 1943. He also pitched in the 1936 Summer Olympics as part of the "World Champions" team. [1]
