Advice

  • Wikigraphists :

Work on free images only.
Wherever possible, upload your images to Wikimedia Commons. Encouraged formats : PNG, GIF (for animations), SVG (no animation), Theora (.ogg)
Use Transparent backgrounds;
Upload your works over the original (on Commons).

  • Wikiphotographers :

Photograph your objects on monochromatic backgrounds;
Share your pics on commons;
Propose your images to improve.

  • Software to use (advice, these are freely available) :

The GIMP, for JPG-GIF-PNG images;
The GIMP, for animated GIF;
Inkscape, for PNG-SVG images;
