Welcome to Wikipedia! So you need some help.

To look up an article, type its name in the edit box at the top of the screen, and click "Go". (Don't click "Search" if you just want to look for an article on something, which is what most people usually want to do.)

Make sure the capitalization is correct. As present, you cannot type "european colonization of the americas" and click Go; you must type "European colonization of the Americas" and click Go.

Remember that anyone, even you, can change any article at any time. If you have a valuable contribution or edit to make, just click "Edit this page", which is a link that appears on every page in Wikipedia. Your changes will appear immediately.
