Hmm, maybe. In my opinion, if we add anymore colomns it will be cluttered. I'm a freak for quality. Maybe we should seperate the articles into "Table of Prophets of Major? Abrahamic Religions"," Minor Abrahamic"...well maybe not, or if you dont want to keep putting "(restorationism)" and all that, then we could just seperate them into their respective sub-religious divisons via new articles...but i dont know i dont like creating 5 articles in the place of one. (One saves space...but, like i said im not sure.)209.244.42.97 20:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish prophets

Hi, can I ask your opinion on whether we need both Category:Jewish prophets and Category:Prophets of the Hebrew Bible? The contents are almost the same. At the moment, the latter also has Bithiah, Elihu (Job), Eliphaz (Job) and Job (Bible), and the former has no extra articles not in the Tanakh category. Is every so-called Jewish prophet since Malachi considered a false prophet in Judaism? (Nathan of Gaza sounds fairly obvious, but I don't know whether there are any held in high regard.) If Jews recognise no prophets outside the Tanakh, then one of the categories is a duplicate and can be deleted. - Fayenatic london (talk) 21:51, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've thought about your proposed rename to Category:Judeo-Christian prophets and it's probably the best idea. I suggest it should then be populated according to the discussion led by User:Dbiel at Template talk:Prophets of the Tanakh. I won't have time to help in the next couple of weeks, but will be happy to support this proposal at WP:CFD after that. - Fayenatic london (talk) 17:10, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Featured article candidate moses

  • I am saying that in the section Notes, external links should not have the raw URL shown as the blue text; you haven't given them titles, which is unattractive and says very little about what is actually on the page. Hope that makes more sense. HHermans 00:46, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Java7837, the message you left on at least twelve wikiproject talk pages (example) is a clear example of canvassing. In short, it is ok to ask for opinions from Projects that might have an opinion on the article -- but to specifically ask them to come and vote one way or the other is seen as crossing the line -- especially with the number of messages you left. Category:Judeo-Christian prophets

You are screwing up everything with your Category:Judeo-Christian prophets. IZAK 08:39, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Java 7837. See Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 July 23#Category:Judeo-Christian prophets. Thank you. IZAK 08:59, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am a little surprisd that you rated the importance of this article to be "low". I would think that the importance would be relatively high i.e. at least medium if not high.

Also, would you look at Antisemitism in the New Testament and add it to WikiProject Judaism?

Thanks.

Thanks so much. It wasn't really all that difficult, though. There are plenty of images still not categorized - both Jewish and non-Jewish. If nothing else, categorizing them makes for a nice gallery. --Eliyak T·C 19:12, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It does make a great gallery. Can you help me rate by importance WikiProject Judaism articles?--Java7837 19:18, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
I may do a few of those. --Eliyak T·C 19:25, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merging Jewish wikiprojects

You keep on doing things without carefully checking out what else is out there first. Look before you leap! Did you even know that the parent category Category:WikiProject Judaism existed before you went ahead and created "Category:Jewish wikiprojects"? You also don't seem to care much about what other editors in the Jews and Judaism sections have done over the years. Please see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 July 26#Category:Jewish wikiprojects. Thank you. IZAK 08:54, 26 July 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Please discuss changes you would like to make

... To the Palestine Wikiproject template. Unilaterally deciding to place a political emblem in the place of a picture of family in traditional clothing is a huge change that should be discussed. Tiamat 14:29, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And please don't make substantive changes to pages in other people's user space without their knowledge. --DieWeisseRose 06:06, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
