These are the articles within the scope of the basic mathematics task force. For a page to be here it needs to meet most or all the following criteria. This page is generated from List of basic math articles

  1. Be a simple well known concept - The task force has limited resources and is meant to improve the quality of articles that will be accessed most. This task force is not the place for recent research or graduate level mathematics.
  2. Be vital to the mathematics field - The pages listed here should be vital to the mathematics field. They should be used in multiple branches of math or be essential to a single branch of math.
  3. In some way be accessible to the general public - In order for a page to be listed here, it must be in some way accessible to the general public. The entire article doesn't have to be, but the concept should be able to be understood by a general audience. For example, the details of integration are beyond the typical person, but the general idea of finding the area under a curve is understandable.
  4. Featured focus - To further limit the scope, this project has a featured focus. The featured focus narrows the articles down further while admitting that there could exist basic articles outside this focus. Currently the featured focus is Elementary and High School Mathematics
