Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I intend to first work on what I am most familiar with. I intend to work on AIV and the backlogs. To see if a user that was reported needs a block I would check the users contributions. Next I would see if the user/ip has received a final warning (most often a fourth.) Then I will block. If the user had been blocked before for example 24 hours I may block them 31. If they have bad vandalism or frequent vandalism I would block them longer or indef/infinite. Another place of interest is CAT:CSD. On this category I would clear the backlogs (delete pages that require deletion) and if they don't I would remove the template and inform the user/ip that placed the tag of me doing so. If it is questionable I would put the page up for AFD/PROD. I plan to familiarize myself with WP:PUI and work on what is needed and use my tools as needed on WP:ANI.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: There was one with Hatewatcher where I started a WP:SSP report. I calmly told the user my reasoning for the SSP and asked him to wait it out. After all all people are innocent until proven guilty!
