Talk:ICFP Programming Contest
I'm using http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Conference_on_Functional_Programming_Contest as inspiration, but I only have a basic understanding of German. Any help appreciated. --Janto 22:28, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
Following the links at the bottom of the page, it is clear that the winning language in 2004 and 2005 was Haskell. I think that listing all the prizes (as in the German version) would be better.
Although all prizes are won by teams, in the judges' declarations (listed at the end of the article), the placed prizes (and the lightning prize, if awarded) honour a language, while the Judges' Prize honours a team.
2006 contest
I've removed the winner's language for the 2006 contest, because it was listed as 2D. That's silly, but not accurate. When they post an actual language it should go there. -- BillWeiss | Talk 06:33, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Silly or not, that was the language the winning team chose; check out the end of the video from the contest presentation. — brighterorange (talk) 17:55, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
