The Algorithm March is a dance fad created in Japan, based on the children's television series PythagoraSwitch, airing on NHK since 2002.

The exercises from Algorithm Exercises are developed. Lines of more than 2 people are formed, and they begin moving canon style one at a time. The movements of the first and last person become connected. The traditional Algorithm March consists of the following moves, each performed after taking one single step forward. The march can also be performed by a single line of individuals, the first person beginning with move #1 below, and the others marching one step forward, when the second person reaches the starting position of person 1, he begins with move #1. A nice example of this synchronized dance is available at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO3igOX50QA&mode=related&search=
