WS-Resource Framework is a Web Services and Grid Computing standard, developed by IBM, Computer Associates, Oracle, webMethods, Argonne National Laboratory, Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe, and Hewlett-Packard. WSRF defines mechanisms for Web Services to work with stateful resources. This type of functionality might find use in a case where multiple Web Service invocations are used to deal with data that evolves across invocations; for example in a travel reservation system.[1]
