String puzzle

In a string puzzle you have to manipulate a piece of string or rope in a certain way. Usually this involves disentanglement of a knot or the creation of a knot or both.

Surely the most famous string puzzle is the Gordian Knot, which Alexander The Great solved using brute force by severing it with his sword.
