SQLCE (full name Microsoft Server Compact 2005 Edition) is a compact relational database produced by Microsoft for applications that run on mobile devices and desktops. SQLce provides a development model and API consistent with Microsoft SQL Server.

The current version is V3.1 and supports .Net 2.0 Windows CE 4.0 and Windows CE 5.0.

SQL Support

  • SQL support is a subset of the MSSQL 2005 support
  • Databases are limited to 4 GB in size
