Request reason:

I was blocked because of a sockpuppetry spam ring and I have admitted and confessed the evade. It's been six months since I have not been editing and using Wikipedia. I really miss editing articles and requesting to get me unblocked. You can check my contribution and all are constructive and I assure that I will never ever repeat the same mistake again, I swear. Decline reason:

Don't use the expression, "Please do the needful", it's quite offensive outside of India. The last sockpuppet was blocked on 2022-08-22 meaning the soonest you can apply under WP:SO would be 2023-02-22. At that point, you'll need to drop your ludicrous claim that all your contributions were constructive. You were blocked for being part of a spam ring. Requesting unblock under WP:SPO, I haven't been editing Wikipedia for six months. I understand my fault and I swear that I won't involve in any editing violations in the future. Checkuser data shows no evidence of recent block evasion. I think this user needs to deal with their prior ludicrous claim that all their edits were constructive. My future edits will be in neutral point of view that will never ever involves in any activities that violates Wikipedia terms of use and edit. Requesting under WP:SPO, I am requesting a mercy chance for me as I haven't been edited about six months in Wikipedia, As per the last reviewer, I understand that there is no volunteers to look after me, I here by assure that I will not repeat the prior mistakes again and I will never ever involve any of the activities that violates Wikipedia policies, I swear.

I've read the below discussion, and while you seem to think that the problem is that you created a sockpuppet after you were caught being involved with a spam ring (and to be sure, you shouldn't have done that either), the main problem is your involvement in the spam ring to begin with.     @Deepfriedokra I started editing Wikipedia for improving my written and reading English skills. So I decided to start editing and creating articles, starting was little hard. I mostly pick the topics which I am familiar with. So I chose Indian Music and films mostly.
    Then after learning basic things, I was getting interested in guiding new users and Volunteering. So I welcomed new people, cleared spam and promotional edits from recent changes, participated in AfDs.
    Then I got a chance as AFC reviewer in probation for 3 months I think. During that time, I reviewed drafts mostly Indian films as much as I can and I loved doing that.
    During this time I got blocked for Sockpupppetry spam ring, and I requested for an unblock and didn’t get unblocked. So I created an another account Mcstark and I really guilty about this evade. Because the Wikipedia was almost a daily routine for me. So without editing Wikipedia, I was probably Fed Up. So I created this account.
    Then that account got blocked and I accepted the evade. Then an admin advised me to try unblock request after six months without editing Wikipedia. That is why I am requesting it here.
    I make sure that I will edit the articles constructively and I won’t involve in any activity which violated the terms of Wikipedia policies.

"sokkerpuppet" consistently demonstrates a complete lack of respect for fellow contributors. They engage in relentless personal attacks, harassment, and hostile behavior, poisoning the collaborative environment that is vital to Wikipedia's success. Hello. I am requesting to be unblocked for the account Onmyway22. I acknowledge that I previously violated policy by using multiple accounts (including: Ravishingstar, Ambili123, and later McStark). At that time, especially during the COVID period, I was editing mainly to improve my English research/writing ability, and because I was interested in film / entertainment topics. However, I now fully understand that regardless of intention, operating multiple accounts is a serious disruption and a violation of WP:SOCK.

I apologise for this behaviour. I take responsibility for it.

I have been away from editing for over 3 years. My circumstances have changed, and I have used this time to reflect and better understand Wikipedia’s core policies: WP:SOCK, WP:RS, WP:NPOV, and WP:V.

If unblocked, I commit to:

  • using only one account (Onmyway22)
  • not creating or using any other accounts
  • only adding material supported by reliable sources
  • editing constructively and neutrally

I am most interested in contributing to well-sourced articles related to:

Thank you for the previous response. You asked me to address the alleged “spam ring” connection.

To be clear and transparent: I fully accept responsibility for the accounts I personally operated: Ravishingstar, Ambili123, Onmyway22, and later McStark. I was wrong to operate multiple accounts, and I apologise for that. However, I respectfully state that I have no involvement with the other accounts named in that larger network (including Anandusuresh001, and others). I was not coordinating with those accounts, I was not editing with them, and I had no communication with them.

I understand that checkuser data can detect technical similarities. I am not challenging that technical result. I am only stating that I was not knowingly part of any coordinated group or spam operation.

My misuse was socking, but not spam co-ordination.

I have been away for over 3 years, and I am requesting one final chance to return and edit constructively.

Commitments if unblocked:

  • I will only use one account Onmyway22
  • I will not create or use any other accounts
  • I will only add verifiable content with reliable sources
  • I will avoid any behaviour that could be perceived as connection to groups or off-wiki collaboration

The accounts that I used myself are Onmyway22, Ravishingstar, Ambili123 and McStark. I created McStark after the block. I accept my mistake and I am sorry for that. I have nothing to protect after being blocked for years. if they are my accounts I could have accepted it already along with my accounts. But in fact, they are niot mine. I understand the checkuser might see some similarities in nature of the edits of the accounts with mine. I am not challenging it, but, the other accounts mentioned in that spam ring (Anandusuresh001 and others) are not mine. I was not working with them and I am not part of any group. I only used the accounts I listed above. If I get unblocked I will only use this account and never use any other account again. I will contribute topics like geography, science and entertainment. I will follow the rules and not break policy again. Please consider this as a last chance.

Extraordinary Writ At the start, I honestly did not know that it was against policy. I think my first account was Ravishingstar or Ambili123, not sure which I started first. I started entertainment especially films and famous topics, because it was not complicated for me to start. Later, I found that many of my edits and references were not suitable, and I was still learning. I probably created another account because I wanted to edit different kinds of topics, or I don't know. But I never used them to support each other or to spam. Later, I made Onmyway22 because I wanted to start a clean and neat edit history, without the warnings and declined edits that I got before. At that time I thought it was a good idea and that was when I really started to understand Wikipedia better and learned about the community, projects, and policies. I enjoyed working with other editors and learning new things. I know now that using multiple accounts was a serious mistake. I understand how important it is to follow rules and policies. I am asking for one last chance to show that I can edit properly and follow all the guidelines from now on.

Adding that, I created a different account named McStark after the block because of declined unblock requests, and could not quit editing. I admitted that early as well, but I never be a part of a spam group. I will never repeat the same mistake or any policy breach in future and my edits will be constructive and they all from this only account and I will make sure that they all align with wikipedia policies. I would be okay with an unblock here. I'm not entirely sure I believe the persistent denials of any promotion (Rafih Filli and Vedant Birla are pretty suspicious), but it's not impossible, and ultimately at this point the risks of an unblock are pretty low. No CU evidence of recent block evasion, though Onmyway22 is still operating from an IP address range with lots of spamming going on. To be clear, there's no evidence the person behind Onmyway22 is involved in the other spamming going on from this range. I regret and accept that I hid and lied about these things in the past. When the block happened, I did not handle the situation well. I was trying to protect myself and I did not give clear answers. Even though it was three years ago, it was still wrong, and I take responsibility for it. Now I have explained everything directly and listed all the accounts that were mine. There is nothing more to hide. I understand why the block was placed. I am asking for a chance to return and edit properly. Again, I will never repeat any violation in the future. If any problem happens again, you may block me immediately without discussion. I am confident that I will not repeat any of the mistakes from before.
