History
SigmaPointPi was founded in 2024 by Md Tofael Hossain while he was an undergraduate student studying computer science and finance. The company began as a research project focused on analyzing the effect of news sentiment on U.S. equity markets from 2015 to 2025. Early work included building datasets, statistical forecasting models, and prototype algorithmic trading tools.[4]
