Joy Mayanne Felix Barcoma (born c. 1999) is a Filipino beauty queen who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2025. She is slated to represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2025.

Early life and education

Joy Barcoma was born in Bacoor, Cavite, where she was raised as the eldest child in her family. In her pageant introduction video, she said that being the oldest imbued her with a strong sense of responsibility and early leadership skills.[1] She is a graduate of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) with a degree in broadcasting.[2]

After graduating, she worked as a mental health and disaster preparedness/resilience advocate, being an ambassador for LoveYourself, a Philippine-based non-profit focused on sexual health and HIV awareness, and as a head of Youth for Mental Health in Calabarzon.[3]

Pageantry

Barcoma first joined Miss World Philippines 2021, where she placed in the Top 24 and hailed as the winner of the pageant's "Beauty with a Purpose".[4][5]

In 2025, she represented Bacoor at Miss Philippines Earth 2025 as one of the official 36 delegates. During the final question and answer portion of the competition, the finalists were asked how they would use the pageant's platform to create a positive impact in their communities. Barcoma responded that she would utilize the platform of the pageant to promote eco-consciousness among the youth, promote innovative solutions, and the inclusive opportunities to help drive progress.[6][7]

Barcoma went on to win the title of Miss Philippines Earth 2025, earning the right to represent the Philippines at the Miss Earth 2025 pageant.[8][9][10][11]

Miss Earth 2025 was the 25th and silver anniversary edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the Okada Manila, in Parañaque, Metro Manila, Philippines, on 5 November 2025.

Jessica Lane of Australia crowned Natálie Puškinová of the Czech Republic as her successor at the conclusion of the event. This marks the country's second victory in the history of the pageant, following their first win in 2012.[1]

This edition also marked a "Sandwich Victory" for European contestants in the history of the pageant, as the most recent European winner was Drita Ziri from Albania in 2023.[2][3]

Selection of participants

Replacements

Miss Earth Japan 2025, Emilia Shimanouchi, withdrew for undisclosed reasons and was replaced by Reimi Shimizu.[4] Miss Earth Kenya 2025, Mirel Atieno, withdrew due to undisclosed reasons,[5] and was replaced by her runner-up, Esther Mukoya.[6][7]

Shae Parsons of New Zealand withdrew due to personal reasons and was later replaced by India Holder.[8] Jazmine Rowe of Indonesia also withdrew due to personal reasons, and was replaced by Putri Juficha.[9]

This edition marked the debut of Uzbekistan and featured the return of the Cayman Islands, which last competed in 2010; Nicaragua in 2012; Tanzania in 2014; Turkey in 2015; Macau in 2016; Finland, Jamaica and Moldova in 2020; Lebanon and Sweden in 2021; Austria, Estonia and Scotland in 2022 and Armenia, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Romania and Ukraine in 2023.
