Don't Say Good Luck is an upcoming American comedy film. It is directed by Julia Hart and stars Melanie Lynskey, Sunny Sandler, Max Greenfield, and Steve Buscemi.

Plot

Sophie Birenbaum is ready for the spotlight as the lead in her high school musical — until her mom's terminal cancer diagnosis leaves her dealing with more drama at home than on the stage.

Production

The film's cast was announced in June 2025.[1] Digital Spy reported that the film had gone into production that same month, with filming expected to last six weeks and taking place mostly in New Jersey.[2][3]
