Early Life and Boxing Career

Charlie Williams was born on 25 February 1994 in Birmingham, England. He began boxing at a young age and turned professional in 2014. Competing in the lightweight division, Williams remained undefeated throughout his career, achieving a record of 8 wins and 1 draw over 9 bouts. Notably, he became the first ever Tamworth-based fighter to earn a professional title, winning the midland lightweight title in 2017.

Despite his success in the ring, Williams faced significant mental health challenges. He revealed that anxiety, stress, and sleepless nights led him to step away from boxing. The loss of his sister to suicide further underscored the fragility of life, prompting his decision to retire from the sport (itv.com).

Transition to Acting

After retiring from professional boxing, Williams pursued a new path as an actor. He trained at the prestigious New York Film Academy in Los Angeles California, honing his craft and gaining formal education in screen acting. He is also a member of the Inspire Actors Studio in Birmingham. Also has appeared in commercials for Bet365 in 2021 and 2022, portraying roles that highlight his athletic background.

In 2025, he was cast in the film Salvable, marking a significant step in his acting career. The film, a British boxing crime drama directed by Björn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta, stars Shia LaBeouf, Toby Kebbell, and James Cosmo. Williams plays the role of Ryan McShane .​
