In electronics, digits are often indicated by colors. The standard code is:

0: black
1: brown
2: red
3: orange
4: yellow
5: green
6: blue
7: purple
8: grey
9: black

Color codes were probably first used on resistors, but are often used on cables as well, particularly in digital bus cables.
