What is "Pcode" in "Pcode came a few years later." - I feel that sentence doesn't really stand by itself.

Is it really the case that "New Era" was merely a variant of Informix-4GL and not a clearly separate product in its own right?

New Era was Informix's foray into OOP and was a separate incompatible product. It failed to win popularity with Informix 4GL developers for this reason.
PCode means Pseudo Code and is interpreted rather than compliled. 2A01:CB00:F9E:2200:705B:B23A:CCCE:9B13 (talk) 13:47, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
