Semi-protected edit request on 20 April 2021

The term “illegal immigrant” is offensive and used repeatedly in this article. Please change to a more neutral term like “undocumented immigrant” or “undocumented noncitizen”. 98.113.6.24 (talk) 01:21, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done its just a term, it's not being used pejoratively. Also, WP is not censored or a place to right great wrongs. - wolf 03:03, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Change "him or her" to "them" for gender neutrality. 93.139.166.51 (talk) 17:47, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sanctuary cities

This articles section on sanctuary cities reads like an op-ed it needs editing 2600:1700:2C90:C720:F8CF:FEF6:AA8C:F29D (talk) 21:56, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Crimes committed by illegal immigrants under sanctuary cities heading

Is this really relevant to the larger page regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement? I could see it as an appropriate addition to the linked page on sanctuary cities, but don't see how it's pertinent to Immigrations and Customs Enforcement directly, as the agency did not have any direct involvement in any of the criminal cases.

I propose that items regarding Ronil Singh, Tara O'Sullivan, Kate Steinle, Riley Jarecki, and the Sacramento County Sheriff Deputies be moved to the sanctuary cities page and removed from this one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dranomartini (talkcontribs) 06:30, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ICE operations vs. Projects

What is the difference between a "Project" and an Operation. ICE seems to have "Operations" such as the Operation Community Shield, and "Projects" such as Project Southern Tempest

There are categories dedicated to ICE operations, that includes the Project's but none of the operations pages or project pages include any information to help understand the distinction. I think we might include that on the operation and project pages, or one of the parent pages. (Also, I was unable to find a publication on the naming schema for projects or operations) eximo (talk) 04:28, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

criticism of ICE

I feel that this page needs a separate criticism of ICE section. The page "abolish ICE" includes a link to criticism of ICE in the See Also section, which redirects to this page. But on this page, there is no criticism of section, and there seems to be no criticism of page. It seems to me that the page could be reorganized to provide a specific section addressing criticism. 2603:3003:4702:7300:ACD0:FBC1:4768:13BF (talk) 23:01, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

administrative reform

There was an administrative reform bill in congress introduced in october 2024 that still appears to be in the introduction stage. Would the content of this bill be irrelevant?FourLights (talk) 13:06, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Do we have good sources on this?

"In interior offices, ERO officers primarily conduct targeted enforcement operations to apprehend immigrants engaged in serious criminal activity."

This might be biases from news sources, but it seems to me (and I suspect that's the case for many other readers) that ERO targets, more often than not, people suspected of irregular immigration status regardless of criminal activity proper. I might be wrong, but precisely that is why I think that claim could use at least one other source, preferably one from a third party. 186.2.129.169 (talk) 02:23, 7 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
