Pradeep Nair, is an Indian filmmaker, who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry. He has also directed numerous award winning documentries, thus making him a notable filmmaker of Kerala.[2]

His debut directorial, Oridam (2005) won him Special Jury Award for director at 52nd National Film Awards [3] and won 5 Kerala State Film Awards in 2005. [4]

Nair is also an author, with two of his books on cinema, the first one, " Koottu chernnulla kali " (2022)[5] and the second " Drishya Mohanam on studies & memories of filmmaker Mohan " (2024), has been published.[6]
