Yokai Samba is an upcoming animated martial arts adventure comedy film directed by Leo Matsuda (in his directorial debut) from a screenplay by Mitch Watson.

In April 2018, it was announced that Leo Matsuda would write and direct Yokai Samba for DreamWorks Animation, a coming-of-age film based on the folklore of the same name.[1]

In March 2021, the film moved to Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies.[2] This was reaffirmed in June 2024.[3]
